NASHVILLE, Tenn. - This week it's the ladies' turn. Several locals were in the mix Wednesday night. The judges have been bragging about how good the girls are this year. Wednesday night we got a little taste of that talent! The Dolly Chicks sang the Dixie Chicks' song "Sin Wagon". One of the members, Kree Harrison, is listed as a Texan. We know that she actually lives here in Nashville. The group had a little bit of drama - one member not wanting to stay up and rehearse. In the end, all but one member made it past the Hollywood round, including Kree. Congrats! One group the judges called the group of the day, Nicki even on her feet and saying that member Janelle Arthur has been her favorite time after time. Janell is actually a Tennessee girl, from Oliver Springs in East Tennessee. One young lady is not from our area, but was another country standout. Her name is Rachel Hale and she is from Prescott, Arkansas. The judges called her the happiest contestant they've ever seen. Nicki leaned over and whispered to Keith during her performance that she was going to be very relatable! We know of at least one other local that made it to Hollywood Week. Her name is From Sarina and she is from Columbia, Tennessee. We will actually have her LIVE in the studio with us Thursday. Hopefully, they will show some of her singing Thursday when Hollywood Week continues with the girls' solo performances.

Witness rescues toddler from railroad tracks
June 19, 2013 11:23 GMT

ROCKWOOD, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities have arrested the parents of a toddler found alone on railroad tracks in Rockwood.

The Knoxville News Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1asg9U3 ) cited an officer's report which said a witness saw the 2-year-old on the rails and picked him up shortly before a train came through the town on Saturday.

Jonathan Noah White, who is 30, and 24-year-old Rahab Jaramillo were arrested and booked into the Roane County Jail on charges of aggravated child abuse and neglect.

The incident report states the child's grandmother told police the boy was often left with her, but she was on "too many medications" to watch him. The boy was put into Department of Children's Services custody.
