All aboard the "SS American" as Broadway performers take you on a high energy, comedic voyage!

"The script is hilarious, so much fun, old fashion fun" says Courtney Rottenberger who is cast as "Courtney".

"It's
that boy meets girl, mistaken identity. All those old fashion but still
funny situation comedies" adds fellow cast member Jeremy Benton.

"Anything
Goes" is a musical comedy that's been around since 1934 and centers
around a controversial love story  on a cruise ship.

"The fun part is they are all trapped on the boat so there is no way out of the situation" says Benton.

Jeremy
Benton is one of 36 cast members and is no doubt more excited than
anyone to bring the show to Nashville, because he gets to spend the next
few days sleeping in his own bed, enjoying all that comes with being
"home" at his moms house!

"She is making me fat" laughs Benton. "I had to tell her wardrobe will be upset if I don't fit into costumes after this week".

You can catch the Nashville native all throughout the more than two hour show.

"I play bartender, sailor, passenger and also a fun part is I'm an understudy for a lot of the principals" says Benton.

While the high energy dance will no doubt stand out, the production is known best for it's score.

"Musical theater is an American invention and this is sort of the grandfather of musical comedy" says Benton.

Well
over a dozen songs, including a roundup of Cole Porter's nostalgic
hits, like "You're The Top" , "Blow Gabriel Blow" and of course
"Anything Goes"

"Even if you didn't' know where it came from you will go, Oh know that! I didn't know it came from this show" says Benton.

Climb on board and sing along with the sailors in this story of old fashion blackmail, now through October 28th.

State officials to hold seat belt campaign event
May 24, 2013 08:11 GMT

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (AP) -- The Governor's Highway Safety Office plans to announce its "Click It or Ticket" campaign on Friday.

The event is scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. at the Robertson County Courthouse in Springfield.

Nationally, statistics show seat belt use increased significantly in 2012 as compared to 2011 among drivers, right-front passengers and backseat occupants.

However, officials say more than 400 of Tennessee's crash fatalities last year involved unrestrained drivers or passengers.

The Governor's Highway Safety Office urges all motorists to buckle up.
