Clinton traveled to the region to help bring an end to the fighting that has left hundreds killed and injured, with most of the casualties on the Palestinian side. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreeing to the deal after speaking to President Obama by phone.
"I would like to say a special thanks to President Obama for allowing Israel to defend itself and for the support of the iron dome," says Netanyahu. "Also to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and also to Egypt for help in achieving this cease fire."
The White House releasing details of that call between the President and the Israeli Prime Minister, where Obama expressed his appreciation to Netanyahu for working with the new Egyptian government to reach a cease fire. The Commander in Chief also reiterating his commitment to Israel's security, making it clear no country can be expected to tolerate rocket attacks against civilians. Adding he is committed to seeking additional funding for the iron dome and other U.S/Israeli missile defense programs, as well as helping Israel deal with the issue of the smuggling of weapons and explosives into Gaza. The President also calling Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi to thank him for his efforts in helping to broker the cease fire and to express his commitment to the relationship between Egypt and the U.S. along the Israel/Gaza border.

Body found in Percy Priest Lake

SMYRNA, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say a body has been found in Percy Priest Lake in Middle Tennessee.
WSMV-TV (http://bit.ly/16gYKys) reports officials with Metro Police, the Office of Emergency Management and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency were at the scene Saturday at Hole In The Wall Island. The body was reported to authorities about 11 a.m.
TWRA officials say they believe the deceased man is a boater who disappeared in the lake two weeks ago.
Police said the agencies coordinated with each other to get a boat in the water and recover the body.
