Clarksville residents can expect to see a small refund on their next utility bill. The Clarksville Department of Electricity discovered they had been overcharging customers for 15 months, according to the Leaf Chronicle. Errors in the billing were first noticed by the TVA late last year. All Clarksville Department of Electricity customers that were overcharged will have that amount refunded to them.
Customers can expect a statement in their next bill that explains the refund, the electric company’s superintendent Brian Taylor told the Leaf Chronicle.
The exact amount customers will be refunded is not yet know but is believed to be around $30.

Union County DUI stop turns up 300 pounds of pot

MAYNARDVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Union County Sheriff's Office deputies say the truck appeared to be driven by someone under the influence and they stopped it.
Inside, officers found more than 300 pounds of marijuana.
The Knoxville News Sentinel (http://bit.ly/11QgEX9 ) reported authorities arrested 26-year-old Martin Urrutia Olmedo of Knoxville on Saturday morning. Olmedo was held without bond, pending a Thursday scheduled court appearance.
Sheriff's Sgt. Mike Butcher said the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is also looking into the arrest in which Olmedo was charged with drug, DUI and driving violations.
