Metro police say the man who stabbed their daughters Tiffany Campbell and Melissa Chilton to death at the Exotic Tan for Men in 1996 is going to face justice.
Authorities charged Patrick Streater with the two counts of first degree murder.
He's the former boyfriend of Campbell.
"There's an end in sight for us and there's hope bless everybody involved in this," said Campbell's mother Deborah Edmonds.
"It's been so many years I thought the case had just stopped but now i know they kept working. They kept trying and they solved it," said Gail Chilton.
Streater has long been someone police were talking to in this case and they say a combination of interviews and scientific evidence finally lead to 1st degree murder charges.
"The motto of Cold Case units across the country is never give up and that's what we do in these types of cases," said Det. Sgt. Pat Postiglione.
Streater has been in a California prison for robbery charges since 2002.
He has two years left on his sentence.
It remains to be seen when he'll be returned to Nashville to face charges.

Tenn. Powerball ticket worth $1 million
May 19, 2013 18:44 GMT
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Powerball ticket sold in Tennessee barely missed winning a share of an estimated $590.5 million prize. But the ticket has a nice consolation prize worth $1 million.
Officials say the Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in Chattanooga.
There's no word yet on who won.
A Powerball ticket sold at a supermarket in Zephyrhills, Fla., matched all six numbers selected Saturday night for the estimated $590.5 million prize. It's the highest Powerball jackpot in history.
The winning numbers were 10, 13, 14, 22 and 52, with a Powerball of 11.
