A convicted felon is in trouble with the law again.
Six years after he went to prison for attempted murder, police say Orlando Garrett made death threats against the officer who sent him behind bars.
FOX 17 News was there the day the violence began. Back in January 2006, police were trying to break up an argument between Garrett and his brother.
Garrett pulled a gun out right in front of officers and shot his brother. The officer, as a result, pulled his own weapon and shot Garrett.
Garrett served time for the shooting.
Now out of prison, Garrett claims he has had trouble finding a job because of his felony condition.
He says he was drunk and depressed and that's why he made the call.
Police were able to trace the call back to Garrett's home on Murfreesboro Road where he was arrested.

Solar panels that obscure school might be moved

ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A wall of solar panels in front of a Surgoinsville school might be moved out back.
The panels are part of an ambitious project under which solar collection panels have been installed at 20 Hawkins County school facilities to cut utility costs and sell back power to TVA.
But the Kingsport Times-News (http://bit.ly/18burcf ) reported the wall of panels at Surgoinsville Middle School has some people worried about school security and others upset at what they see as an eyesore.
The panels are 7 feet high and stretch the length of a football field. They obscure viewing the school.
At a school board work session Thursday, board members talked about moving the array. It can't be voted on until the regular board meeting on June 4.
