The Bellevue community is recovering after the loss of two teenagers killed in a car accident last night.
The sudden death of Michael Fishback and Neejervan "Neejee" Abdy has shocked this community.
We had the chance to sit down with Michael Fishback's father who shared with me his last moments with his son.
Gary Fishback says, “He just came in from MTSU last night and we were playing and he said I am going to hang out a while that is the last time I saw him.”
His son 18 year Michael Fishback would be the passenger in a 2004 G35 Infiniti driven by 19 year old Neejee Abdy
Police say the car was traveling at a high rate of speed on 70 South when it came upon a slower vehicle.
Police believe Abdy swerved to miss the vehicle and lost control of the car traveling off of the roadway and hitting a tree.
Jared Wooldridge says, “It's not real it’s no possible Michael is the single nicest human being I ever met.”
Police say both teens died at the scene - police believe they were not wearing their Seatbelts...
Fishback's father says it just doesn't make sense... Because Michael was always reminding him to put on his seat belt... And he had expressed concern about Neejee's driving before.
Gary Fishback says, “They have been friends for years they have always gone to school together it's just Michael was a little nervous about his driving.”
Classmates of Neejee tell us they remember his bravery fighting leukemia in middle school - and can't believe after beating cancer his life was cut short by a horrific car accident.
Joselyn Hall says, “He survived cancer throughout middle school and everybody knew Neejee as well for him to be younger - everyone knew him and it is just so sad something like this could happen.”
Friends of both Neejee and Michael gathered at the scene of the accident to pay their respects and remember their friends.
Jared Wooldridge says, “We are all family and we just lost our brothers.”
Gary Fishback says he doesn't know where his son was going but say it's hard knowing the youngest of his three children is gone.
Gary Fishback, “For him to be the baby you would have thought there would have been a longer time he would have been here longer so it just hurts.”
Police say there was no indication at the scene that drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.

Ky. veteran killed in Afghanistan blast

FORT THOMAS, Ky. (AP) -- A Kentucky veteran who was working as a civilian contractor in Afghanistan has died in an explosion in Kabul that killed at least 15 people including six Americans.
The father of 26-year-old Michael Robert Bradford of Fort Thomas said his son was smart, good in different sports and about to become a father.
Gary "Moose" Bradford, also of Fort Thomas, told The Kentucky Enquirer (http://bit.ly/12i0nVO ) he found about his son's death from Michael Bradford's wife, Sasha, on Thursday afternoon. He said he was in total disbelief.
The couple's first child is due in a few weeks.
Two American soldiers were killed along with four American civilian contractors with DynCorp International, based in Falls Church, Va.
Other survivors include his mother, Linda Bradford of Johnson City, Tenn.
