WBFF Fox 45 :: EXCLUSIVE: Idol Judges Discuss Country Contestants with Entertainment Reporter Stacy McCloud
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -  Here in Music City all eyes have been glued to idol because of our local connection, country star Keith Urban.

"I am just me. I think my wife would testify if I sit on couch and watch and comment it's no different than sitting behind the desk" says Urban.

Urban has proven to be a popular addition to the judges table.
    His new co-workers agree!

"We sit next to each other a lot. He is so smart. In all the years I've watched idol Keith speaks from a perspective I've not heard ever in 12 seasons" says Nicki Minaj.

"He is a good person and he's got a good heart in the way he deals with the artists and he himself said he feels like hes harder on country artists cause that is him" says Mariah Carey .

Urban may not cause any drama, but he often finds himself in the middle of it. When asked, Nicki and Mariah were pretty tight lipped about their issues.

"I say nothing. Zippy longstockings" laughs Mariah.

"There will be cat fights too but comes with territory" says Minaj.

They all can agree on one thing, cuntry singers are representing again this year.

We love nash, nash has done us proud and well. Country always represented from day one" says Randy Jackson.

Keith aside, Nashville has three new  reasons to be excited about the hit show. Kree Harrison, Paul Jolley and Janell Arthur. Three singers that currently live in music city that have made it to the top 20 on season 12 of the hit show

"My favorite is a country singer Well, I have two favorite. One blonde one black hair. They seem to be real. Not pretending to be country we are obsessing" says Minaj.

May 21, 2013 11:13 GMT

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Another 40 jobs are coming to Knox County as Gerdau (gair-DOW') expands its steel reinforcement bar plant.

The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development says the new facility will apply finishing services to rebar now made at the company's Lonsdale mill.

TDEC Commissioner Bill Hagerty and Gerdau officials announced the expansion on Monday, saying the plant will have the capacity to finish about 120,000 tons of steel per year.

Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett said it was good to see a vacant building in the WestBridge Business Park be put back into industrial use.
