A convicted sex offender's been secretly living in East Nashville for over a decade. Tonight, Facebook brings his past crime to the forefront. It all came to light when he sent a friend request to his original victim. Corissa Spencer lives in Oregon, where the abuse happened when she was a little girl. She tells FOX17 that after Craig Robinett sent the Facebook friend request, she realized he's now living in Tennessee. She checked the Sex Offender Registry here and discovered he's not registered, so she called police and he was arrested. We caught up with Robinett at his home on Welcome Lane in East Nashville this evening.
"I have registered at this point," says Robinett. "I moved here in '97. I went to register. They said at the time I didn't have to. They didn't tell me anything otherwise until they arrested me."
Tonight, we talked with Corissa Spencer by phone from her home in Oregon.
"It makes me feel sick, and it makes me feel sad because I would hate for any other child to have gone through what I did because he did not register, because he hid under the radar," says Spencer. "The fact he did hide makes me feel as though he did hurt other children or planned to, because if you're legally obligated to register as a sex offender and you don't, there's a reason that you don't."
Robinett is Corissa's stepfather. He's already posted bond. He is currently on the Sex Offender Registry.

Couple's bodies found in their Blount County home

LOUISVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Blount (blunt) County sheriff's office says preliminary results of autopsies on the bodies of a couple found dead in their home in Louisville (LEW'-ihs-vil) show their deaths are consistent with murder-suicide.
Marian O'Briant said in an email that it appears 54-year-old Steven Adkins shot 53-year-old Rebecca Adkins, then shot himself.
O'Briant said a family member found the bodies Sunday night. It wasn't clear how long they had been dead.
