"If I am not crying I am holding in tears because everything, even right here in this front yard there are memories," says God brother Germain McAlmond.
To say Juice Alexander will be missed is an understatement. Just days after his death, friends and former co-workers gathered at McFadden's Pub to share memories.
"It's just a family down here and Juice was one of our brothers," says former co-worker and friend Graham Kelly. "With his loss, it devastated the entire city."
Police say Alexander and his brother Josh got into a fight while tailgating at the TSU game Saturday night. They say Josh began to walk backward to separate himself, but Juice continued advancing. Josh stabbed Jesse in the chest when he was upon him. Friends say it's hard to imagine Juice with anything but a smile.
"He always had a smile on his face," says Germain. "He loved to make people laugh. He was always the life of the party."
It's a life this party is missing, but certainly not forgotten. Friends at McFadden's lean on each other for support and remember Juice with a smile. Many say they are amazed by the amount of people whose lives were impacted by Juice Alexander.
"It was such a shock," says McFadden's General Manager Tim McSpaddin. "Such a nice guy, and he meant so much to the 2nd Avenue and even the downtown community, that I just felt like it would go a long way to help his family out."
A portion of McFadden's sales Tuesday evening will go towards Juice's funeral costs. A memorial fund has been set up under Juice Alexander's name, and friends plan to hold a candlelight vigil for Juice Alexander at 8pm on Thursday night.

Alexander: TVA to help fish hatchery stay open
May 18, 2013 16:33 GMT
ERWIN, Tenn. (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander says the Tennessee Valley Authority will help keep a federal fish hatchery in East Tennessee stay open for at least three more years.
The Erwin National Fish Hatchery has faced closure in the past due to federal budget cuts.
The Johnson City Press (http://bit.ly/11MN6tv) cited a statement by Alexander that says the TVA has entered into an agreement with state and federal wildlife agencies that has the agency purchasing fish from both of Tennessee's national fish hatcheries for fish mitigation. That also includes the Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery.
Meanwhile, the statement says TVA officials will work with state and federal authorities to find a permanent solution.
The TWRA has said the two hatcheries are responsible for raising 60 percent of all trout in Tennessee.
