"I just don't feel like I could emotionally handle it," said Lowe.
Instead Lowe's defense called her father to the stand to testify.
Mark Lowe gave jurors the other side of the mother who's accused of killing her newborn sons shortly after secretly giving birth on the toilet.
"As a child she was in youth choir, said Mark Lowe. "Any parent would be very fortunate to have a daughter like Lindsey"
Mark Lowe explained to jurors what happened after his wife discovered a dead newborn in his daughter's laundry basket.
Lowe says he called an attorney friend and his pastor before calling police.
"Frankly was not sure what I would do next. I was pretty much in shock," said Lowe.
Lindsey Lowe's father had no clue his daughter had been cheating on her fiancee.
Sister Lacey Lowe says even she didn't know about the pregnancy.
"Her weight had always fluctuated I just, that's why I didn't think anything of it," said Lowe.
Both sides will present their closing arguments Tuesday morning.

House passes 2-year moratorium on dam barriers
May 21, 2013 19:12 GMT
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- The U.S. House has passed legislation that would put a two-year moratorium on an Army Corps of Engineers plan to erect barriers to prevent people from fishing below dams on the Cumberland River.
U.S. Rep. Ed Whitfield heralded final passage of the Freedom to Fish Act on Tuesday. Whitfield was a leading proponent of the measure in the House.
The bill, introduced by Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., was co-sponsored by Sens. Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Bob Corker of Tennessee.
Whitfield said the bill thwarts, at least temporarily, an effort to "take away some of the best fishing in Kentucky." Passage of the measure, Whitfield said, allows time to work out a permanent solution.
The measure now goes to President Barack Obama for consideration.
