We have an update to a story we brought you last night about a nine month old recovering from open heart surgery.
        Last night we reported baby Phoenix's mom and siblings were facing eviction after months of not being able to pay bills due to Phoenix's medical condition.
    But the Garrett's situation has changed since the story aired.
    Not only was misty Garrett facing eviction - her vehicle also broke down on her just last week.
    but after our story aired- Misty will be able to focus now on just her children.
The miracle came literally overnight...
Misty Garrett says, “Since last night we have had donors come through and give amounts anywhere from $20 - 115  apiece.”
Misty hasn't been able to work since January because of her son's heart condition.
    For months bills have been piling up and left her faced with an eviction. But it was through donations on this webpage that has given the family hope and a piece of mind.
Garrett says, “That has taken so much stress off I can worry about other things I can take care of them without having to make phone calls every day and ask people to help.”
but on top of the bills - the Garrett’s car also broke down last week- the same car misty needs to transport phoenix to and from his important doctor appointments at Vanderbilt children's hospital.
    Money wasn't the only way people donated.

Jason Holleman says, “It's just something I knew I was able to provide and actually be able to do something I don't get to help out a whole lot you know especially with strangers but just being a lady in need and helping a baby that needed help just thought I could try to do what  I could.”
And the car alone was a group effort, Holleman Transmission provided the service but NTP Nashville transmission donated the parts... And the towing was a gift from automotive ministries in Wilson County.
Butch O’Neal says, “It's very moving and it's what we are called to do it's showing god's love reaching out to people to show love through an action through serving.”
Misty says the love and support has been overwhelming
Garrett says, “I can say thank you but thank you is not strong enough of a word for what they've done.”
And the Hard Rock Cafe will be hosting a Phoenix Fest to benefit the family on Nov. 25 from 7 - 11 pm.
