Funeral arrangements for Kayla Qualls have been set at Lynchburg Funeral Home on Sunday with visitation from 2-3pm, and the funeral service immediately following. Qualls lived with her boyfriend and 2 small children at her home in Tullahoma. 2 hunters discovered her body in the back of a Ford Explorer in rural Franklin County. She had been hit on the head. Detectives are now conducting interviews and putting together a timeline of Qualls' movements. Neighbors hope the case is salved quickly. We spoke with Qualls' father Tuesday. He was too upset to go on camera, but says his family is now working to gain custody of Kayla's 2 small children. Kayla's remains will be cremated, so it will be a memorial service. Anyone who knew Kayla and who has photos of her are asked to bring them to the service in lieu of flowers. The family wants to make a memorial photo album of Kayla as a legacy for her 2 children.

Union County DUI stop turns up 300 pounds of pot

MAYNARDVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Union County Sheriff's Office deputies say the truck appeared to be driven by someone under the influence and they stopped it.
Inside, officers found more than 300 pounds of marijuana.
The Knoxville News Sentinel (http://bit.ly/11QgEX9 ) reported authorities arrested 26-year-old Martin Urrutia Olmedo of Knoxville on Saturday morning. Olmedo was held without bond, pending a Thursday scheduled court appearance.
Sheriff's Sgt. Mike Butcher said the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is also looking into the arrest in which Olmedo was charged with drug, DUI and driving violations.
