HOW TO WINTERIZE YOUR CAR
There are several things you can do to get your car ready for winter.
Check your battery and make sure the terminals are clean.
You can use baking soda and water to clean the battery stems.
Batteries should be replaced every three to four years.
Make sure your antifreeze is at the proper level.
It should be replaced every two years.
Also check to make sure you have the correct amount of oil.
You might want to consider adding a synthetic blend motor oil to your
vehicle during winter, because sythentic oils make starting a cold
Check the your tire pressure and tread. You can use the penny test.
Stick a penny in the tire tread, and the tread should cover the top of
Abraham Lincoln's head.
In your trunk you should have an ice scraper, extra antifreeze, oil and
wiper fluid, jumper cables,
and an emergency pack.

Man charged with faking marriage to visit inmate

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- Washington County authorities say a man faked a marriage certificate so he could visit a woman held in the Johnson City Detention Facility.
The Johnson City Press (http://bit.ly/14QBr9L ) reports investigators discovered the ruse after the May 14 visit by 32-year-old Robert S. Hicks of Elizabethton. Hicks was arrested Tuesday on a charge of criminal simulation. He was jailed at the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of $10,000 bond, pending a court appearance Wednesday.
