WBFF Fox 45 :: Locker Locks in Top Spot as Titans Starting QB
Monday morning Reggie Woodard bought 10 tickets and a view of what he believes will be a new era for the Tennessee Titans.

Jake Locker was just named starting quarterback.

"As a fan I'm a little nervous from what I've seen but I guess they would know a little bit better because they see him in practice everyday.  We only see him in game situations," said Woodard.

Whether to start Locker or veteran Matt Hasselbeck has been a discussion many fans have been having for months.

Steve Jones is among those who applaud the decision.

"They need to put him in. Go on put him out there, see what he's got," said Jones.

The decision means something important off the field too.

Locker is now a more visible role model.

Battle Ground Academy Football Coach Roc Batten says that's a quality that seemed to come natural to Locker at the football camp he ran in the school this summer.

"He's just a down to earth person," said Batten.  "He was in and out of groups.  He was with all the kids giving them high fives with them.  Throwing balls to them can you imagine being 8 or 9 and Jake Locker is throwing a touchdown pass to you in a camp."

Locker's number 10 jersey is already the top seller at some retailers including Sports Seasons.

Those sales are expected to grow now.

"The buyer sent me an email this morning telling me he had a big order for Locker Jerseys," said Sports Seasons Manager Peter Thomashefski.

Locker's first test and full-time starter will be during the pre-season game Thursday against Arizona.Locker Locks in Top Spot as Titans Starting QB

May 25, 2013 20:14 GMT

SMYRNA, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say a body has been found in Percy Priest Lake in Middle Tennessee.

WSMV-TV (http://bit.ly/16gYKys) reports officials with Metro Police, the Office of Emergency Management and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency were at the scene Saturday at Hole In The Wall Island. The body was reported to authorities about 11 a.m.

TWRA officials say they believe the deceased man is a boater who disappeared in the lake two weeks ago.

Police said the agencies coordinated with each other to get a boat in the water and recover the body.
