WBFF Fox 45 :: Man Gives Officer Bloody Nose
A 23-year-old man needed to be tasered twice after striking an officer before being taken into custody this morning in north Nashville.
Metro Officer Jamie Rice tried to pulled over Walter Lewis at Dickerson Pike and Hart Lane because of expired tags, according to police reports. Lewis, however, didn't want to follow any commands and refused to turn his car off.
Police forced him out of the car with Lewis waving and flailing his arms, so much so that he hit one of the officers in the face, giving that officer a bloody nose. Lewis was tasered twice before he was calm enough to be arrested.
Officers claim that Lewis had a wild look in his eyes, had white foam around the mouth, and had behavior consistent with a person high on a narcotic or drug.
Lewis is here at the CJC this morning on a $27,000 bond on charges of resisting arrest, evading arrest, assault of an officer and DUI.Man Gives Officer Bloody Nose
