Ericka Bradley, 28, was arrested on Friday after a tip call to the police alerted them to the car full of children at around 6 p.m., according to the police report. The tip caller waited about 30 minutes before notifying the police.
Bradley returned to the car ten minutes before 7 p.m.
According to police, Bradley was verbally abusive to the children in their presence, stating several times that "they were going to get it" and "get spankings" when they get home. When she was informed of being placed under arrest, she again threatened the kids.
When police questioned Bradley as to why the kids were left in the car, she said that the girl had started to pick up items and place them in her pocket. She said she checked on them at about 5:15 p.m.
Bradley is in Davidson County Jail on $25,000 bond for five counts of felony child abuse.

May 20, 2013 20:14 GMT
LOUISVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Blount (blunt) County sheriff's office says preliminary results of autopsies on the bodies of a couple found dead in their home in Louisville (LEW'-ihs-vil) show their deaths are consistent with murder-suicide.
Marian O'Briant said in an email that it appears 54-year-old Steven Adkins shot 53-year-old Rebecca Adkins, then shot himself.
O'Briant said a family member found the bodies Sunday night. It wasn't clear how long they had been dead.
