Television ads are now running accusing him of having sexual relationships with patients.
Earlier this week the Democratic party called for DesJarlais to resign and now the Tennessee Conservative Union is calling for the pro-life Republican to step down.
"It's not so much what he's done but it's the hypocrisy issue of it. He basically sold the 4th district a bill of goods," said organization chairman Lloyd Daugherty.
Desjarlais' office has said he has no plans to resign and it released the following response to the Tennessee Conservative Union.
"Lloyd Daugherty is neither genuinely conservative or Republican and routinely supports liberal democrats like Lincoln Davis and Eric Stewart in an effort to drive a wedge among conservative groups for his liberal puppet masters."
The congressman also began running ads calling the allegations against him, "garbage."
Those ads attack Desjarlais' opponent Eric Stewart.
Fox 17 caught up with Stewart in Murfreesboro Tuesday.
Stewart says he's not focusing on the ads.
The ones running now are produced by the Tennessee Democratic Party and a Democratic Political Action Committee.
"I don't speak for the Tennessee Democratic Party they don't speak for this campaign. So what we're doing is focusing on the issues that are important to voters in this district," said Stewart.
