WBFF Fox 45 :: Mother Meets Woman Who Rescued Son for First Time
They are two paths that may have never crossed if it were not for a scary event one evening just over a month ago.
Today a mother whose car was stolen with her child in the back seat met the woman who helped her son.
Now, police believe there is a lesson to be learned.
It was just after 5 pm on a Tuesday when Farrah parked her car in front of her aunt's home in Antioch with her 5 year old son Tahj sleeping in the back seat.
She left the car running as she ran inside to get her other child.
But in those few seconds police believe two men walked up to the car got in and drove off.
Farrah says, “To see your car driving down the street you are running as fast as your legs will allow you to run - and you know waving your arms- bring my baby back you can have the car- I felt lifeless.”
It would be almost an hour before the car would show up at this ta truck stop.
Police say surveillance video shows two people walking away from the car and about an hour later the child is seen walking around the parking lot... Minutes later these paths crossed when 5 year old Tahj walked up to Toni Lutrick for help.
Toni says, “I also thank god that I am a grandmother and a mother of many so I knew how to talk to him.”
Toni stay with Tahj until police arrived to take him back to his mother... Until today Toni and Farrah had never met.
Toni says, “I got very teary eyed I have been wanting to meet her ever since it happened.”
Farrah says, “She is our angel - we thank god for her I don't even want to think about what the outcome could have been if he didn't come in contact with Miss Toni.”
And neither do police, who say this outcome could have turned out much different
Detective Shaun Rohweder say, “We are very fortunate to have the outcome that we had as a lot of cases similar to this as you have seen around the nation children are winding up found unfortunately deceased.”
Police say they just hope others learn from this mistake.
Metro police are still looking for two suspects in the case who they believe are teens and possibly still in school.
Anyone with information is urged to call Crimestoppers at 74-crime where your information could earn you a cash reward.

Bonnaroo and then what? More events could follow
May 20, 2013 12:33 GMT

MANCHESTER, Tenn. (AP) -- The former farm where the Bonnaroo music festival is held may play host to other events as well.

The partnership that puts on the annual music and arts festival in Manchester has steadily upgraded the site, adding a dozen water wells and permanent electrical power.

Festival partner Rick Farman told The Tennessean (http://tnne.ws/14nuEF5 ) his group is in active discussion with a lot of groups. The Great American Mud Run will be held at the site on July 27 and is expected to draw more than 5,000 participants.

Coffee County Mayor David Pennington said he's curious to see where such a plan could go, saying it could have a huge impact.

This year's Bonnaroo will be held June 13-16. Paul McCartney heads a long list if acts.
