Funeral arrangements have been made as the community grieves for three people killed in Bellevue.
Friends are also remembering.
Mother, Michelle Pinkowski had battled addiction and was working to turn her life around.
The city mourns the loss of Pinkowski, her 14 year old son Jonathan Culpepper, and her mother Marylea Jordan.
"My initial response was just utter shock," says Mary Beth Heaney-Gárate with Renewal House.
Mary Beth Heaney-Gárate helped Michelle Pinkowski and her children for more than a year.
Pinkowski was a patient at Nashville's Renewal House where she was treated for addiction.
"Knowing the intimate details of her story, and of her family just make it devastating," says Heaney-Gárate.
Michelle's story was featured in the Tennessean back in 2004.
The story describes Pinkowski's struggle with drugs, and her desire to turn her life around.
Before moving to the house on Beech Bend Drive, Michelle Pinkowski and her children lived at Renewal House for more than a year as she sought treatment.
"To hear about this tragedy, I felt as if I'd lost someone who was a member of my own family, and that's how we feel about the clients of Renewal House," says Heaney-Gárate.
Michelle graduated from the program in 2004.
Since then she'd been raising her kids, she'd Had found steady employment, and her family says she'd made a commitment to sobriety.
It's one more reason why Sunday's crime is so tragic.
Three lives ended just when it seemed life was finally beginning.
"Your left with asking those questions of why and how and it's just so sad. It's just so sad for everybody," says Heaney-Gárate.
The investigation into this triple homicide continues.
Suspect, Craig Garber remains in critical condition for his self-inflicted knife wounds.
Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin is making preparations for a Sunday visitation, and Monday funeral.

Body found in Percy Priest Lake

SMYRNA, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say a body has been found in Percy Priest Lake in Middle Tennessee.
WSMV-TV (http://bit.ly/16gYKys) reports officials with Metro Police, the Office of Emergency Management and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency were at the scene Saturday at Hole In The Wall Island. The body was reported to authorities about 11 a.m.
TWRA officials say they believe the deceased man is a boater who disappeared in the lake two weeks ago.
Police said the agencies coordinated with each other to get a boat in the water and recover the body.
