It's a Valentine's Day tragedy. Police say a Murfreesboro man confessed to murdering his wife.
Family members tell us Carla Pearman was strangled inside her bedroom.
The couple had only been married a few months.
Murfreesboro Police surround the home on Kanatak Lane. They are investigating the murder of 30 year old Carla Pearman.
Her husband of only a few months is charged with the crime. Jacob Pearman is also 30 years old.
"It's shocking for anything to happen like this period, but in this neighborhood it's very shocking," says neighbor Angela Derrick.
Photos show Carla and her husband celebrating their recent wedding. Others show them with Carla's seven year old son.
A YouTube video shows Jacob, a personal trainer, who often saw clients at the Murfreesboro Athletic Club.
Police went to the home after Jacob's parents received a call from their son and were worried he was suicidal.
Jacob was not home, but police found Carla's body in her bedroom.
We now know police have been to the house before. In December, Jacob Pearman was charged with child abuse against Carla's son, and last month police were called for an argument between Jacob and his wife.
Thankfully the seven year old boy was not at home Thursday morning.
Jacob Pearman was captured in Manchester, and is now charged with first degree murder.
"Unfortunately people are going to remember this Valentine's Day, certain people are, for this event," says Maj. Clyde Adkison with the Murfreesboro Police Department.
Neighbors says Carla Pearman was a friendly person who always waved.
"Well it's horrible that a family has been torn apart, and it's just, it's awful," says neighbor Vickie Stone.
While photos may show a happy couple, Neighbors are learning the Pearman's story may be a lot more complicated.
"You would never know, I would have never dreamed of this," says Angela Derrick.
Jacob Pearman is being held without bond in the Rutherford County jail.
Police say the seven year old boy is safe and staying with his biological father.
Family members identify the victim as Carla Marie Dillard Pearman. She was born on Nov. 14, 1982. She is originally from Manchester, TN and worked at Plated Gold in Antioch, TN.

LOUISVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Blount (blunt) County sheriff's office says preliminary results of autopsies on the bodies of a couple found dead in their home in Louisville (LEW'-ihs-vil) show their deaths are consistent with murder-suicide.
Marian O'Briant said in an email that it appears 54-year-old Steven Adkins shot 53-year-old Rebecca Adkins, then shot himself.
O'Briant said a family member found the bodies Sunday night. It wasn't clear how long they had been dead.
