The Association of Tennis Professionals have posted that Nashville native Brian Baker underwent knee surgery on Monday in Nashville.
The surgery was to repair the lateral meniscus in his right knee. Baker injured himself at the ongoing Australian Open, the year's first grand slam tournament.
Baker will be in a knee brace for around six weeks. The 27-year-old had to be wheeled off the court after injuring himself during his second-round match against his fellow American Sam Querrey.
Now ranked 57th in the world, Baker came back to the circuit in 2011 after years of injuries and surgeries kept him off the court.

National exhibit on Civil War in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A national traveling exhibit on the Civil War will be on display at Nashville's Green Hills Library beginning on Monday.
The exhibit lets viewers experience the war through the eyes of politicians, soldiers, families and freed slaves. It includes letters, personal accounts and images that demonstrate how people grappled with the end of slavery, the nature of democracy and citizenship, the human toll of the war and the role of a president in wartime.
According to the library, the Gilder Lehrman Institute developed the exhibition to mark the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
