Metro Police have arrested a man for threatening his girlfriend and unborn child, and then purposely crashing head-on into another vehicle, which killed the unborn baby.
According to police reports obtained by FOX 17 News, on Dec. 1, 54-year-old Gregory Parker and his girlfriend were having an argument while driving on the road in Davidson County, at which time he said he would kill her unborn child and everybody in the vehicle. He then jerked the wheel and increased speed, driving head-on into a parked car, according to a witness in the car.
The girlfriend was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center for injuries to her face, legs and chest. She lost her child. She was around two months pregnant.
Parker was taken to the hospital and released. The witness sustained injuries, but did not go to the hospital.
Parker is in the Davidson County Jail on $505,000 bond on charges of attempted vehicular homicide.

Body found in Percy Priest Lake

SMYRNA, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say a body has been found in Percy Priest Lake in Middle Tennessee.
WSMV-TV (http://bit.ly/16gYKys) reports officials with Metro Police, the Office of Emergency Management and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency were at the scene Saturday at Hole In The Wall Island. The body was reported to authorities about 11 a.m.
TWRA officials say they believe the deceased man is a boater who disappeared in the lake two weeks ago.
Police said the agencies coordinated with each other to get a boat in the water and recover the body.
