WBFF Fox 45 :: Rose Falcon Releases EPK and Music Video - Stacy McCloud
NASHVILLE, Tenn --  Despite growing up around it, Rose Falcon says she never had dreams of seeing her name in lights! "I was always shy. Anytime a camera came around I would be hiding under a camera, literally."

Rose is the daughter of well known musician and song writer Billy Falcon - known best for his numerous Bon Jovi hits. "It wasn't like my dad prepped me or pushed me towards it. It just happened organically," says Rose. "It all started with poetry. I was going through an awkward stage in high school. I don't know if that was from losing my mom at a young age and being raised by my dad or if i was just awkward."

Those poems turned into songs and at only 14 she landed a record deal with Columbia. Her career ended up going more in the direction of songwriting, with her work picked up by stars like Faith Hill and Lady A. But her own voice has certainly been heard. "I had verizon wireless commercial, build a bear, estee lauder, jc penny. I could go on and on," says Falcon.

Now signed to Show Dog Records, Falcon says she is finally putting herself out there .She's released two EPK's and her very first music video for her single "If Love Had A Heart" premiered on CMT this week. "It's not about a specific heartbreak just wishing love was a little kinder to my heart."

People often ask her why she doesn't release a full album? Falcon says that's next, but for now she just wants people to enjoy a small taste of the truth and heartache she's turned into songs. " To me it's like talking. I'm just trying to communicate the lyrics the best way possible, the best way I know how to."

Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert at country fest
May 24, 2013 18:26 GMT

By CHEVEL JOHNSON Associated Press

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- The sounds of country music take over the City of Baton Rouge as the Bayou Country Superfest brings some of the genre's biggest names to LSU's Tiger Stadium for a Memorial Day holiday jamfest.

Headlining Saturday are Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker and Aaron Lewis, the former frontman for rock band Staind. The two-day festival concludes Sunday with performances by Zac Brown Band, Luke Bryan and The Band Perry.

Festival producer Quint Davis says the talent and free fan fest held before the nightly concerts help to entice attendees. In its fourth year, the festival drew 75,000 people last year.

Visit Baton Rouge executive vice president Renee Areng says Superfest has encouraged people to travel to Baton Rouge on a traditionally sleepy weekend.
