WBFF Fox 45 :: Shooting in Front of Kiddieland Day Nursery
Shots were fired on Chapel Street around 9:30am this morning in front of Kiddieland Day Nursery on Chapel Street in Clarksville. Officers tell us when they arrived on the scene they found a 22 year old woman and a 25 year old man that had been shot. We're told the man was shot in the arm, hand and his head was grazed. Police say the woman had been shot in the hand. The man was taken by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt with non-life threatening injuries. The woman was transported by ambulance to Gateway. Both are in stable condition. Investigators say despite limited cooperation at the scene, they believe there was a fight between the 25 year old and another man in the street. We're told the 22 year old female intervened in the fight and at some point, an unknown person fired a handgun, hitting the both of them. Police believe the shooting victims were involved in some sort of relationship together. They say there's no reason to believe the nursery was targeted in the shooting. The woman had just dropped her children off at the nursery and the confrontation between the men occurred in the street in front of the nursery. Police are asking the public to call with any information about the person(s) involved in the shooting, saying it showed a disregard for the safety of residents in the area and the children inside the nursery. Tenn. Powerball ticket worth $1 million
May 19, 2013 18:44 GMT

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Powerball ticket sold in Tennessee barely missed winning a share of an estimated $590.5 million prize. But the ticket has a nice consolation prize worth $1 million.

Officials say the Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in Chattanooga.

There's no word yet on who won.

A Powerball ticket sold at a supermarket in Zephyrhills, Fla., matched all six numbers selected Saturday night for the estimated $590.5 million prize. It's the highest Powerball jackpot in history.

The winning numbers were 10, 13, 14, 22 and 52, with a Powerball of 11.
