WBFF Fox 45 :: The Roys' Sophomore Album Burning Up the Bluegrass Scene
A few years back, most of the bluegrass world had never heard of The Roys. Now the brother and sister duo are taking the genre by storm with the release of their sophomore album. Since breaking out into bluegrass, The Roys have had a fairly easy time attracting fans with their tight family harmony and real life lyrics. Songs like "Coal Minin' Man", from their debut album, went over well with fans, leaving them nervous about album #2! So far, the album "New Day Dawning" is receiving rave reviews - especially for songwriting. All 7 songs were written or co-written by The Roys. The Roys decided to get really personal this time around. 2 of the songs, "Daddy to Me" and "Grandpa's Barn", reminisce in detail about good times spent with every important people in their lives that have passed. Other songs like "Living Scrapbook" reflect on life in general. An uplifting outlook that gives listeners a closer look at who The Roys really are. "New Day Dawning" is available for purchase now, and we would like to give a big congrats to Lee and Elaine. They just found out they have been nominated for 3 Inspirational Country Music Awards: Entertainer of the Year, Vocal Duo of the Year and Bluegrass Artist of the Year. The awards are this October in Nashville. The Roys' Sophomore Album Burning Up the Bluegrass Scene
