Two teens are in custody after court records say they posed dangers after shooting fireworks.
According to the police affidavit, 18-year-old Juwane Williams bumped into an undercover officer on 2nd Avenue and Commerce after the fireworks show. Williams allegedly pulled a Roman Candle from his pocket, lit it and pointed it at the officer. The candle fired into a large crowd, including at the officers, but no one was hurt. Williams was taken into custody, as officers took possession of the firework device with it still shooting explosives. Williams has several charges including aggravated assault of an officer. He's got a $52,000 bond.
Now, Michael Beasley, 18, was arrested in a separate incident at around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday morning after firing bottle rockets into the middle of Broadway at 3rd Avenue North.
According to police documents obtained by FOX 17 News, Beasley was observed repeatedly launching fireworks before police could intervene. Police say the suspect had absolutely no control over the direction of flight of the firework. This posed a significant danger, as there was heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Beasley is being held in the Davidson County Jail on $5,000 bond.

Tenn. Powerball ticket worth $1 million

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Powerball ticket sold in Tennessee barely missed winning a share of an estimated $590.5 million prize. But the ticket has a nice consolation prize worth $1 million.
Officials say the Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in Chattanooga.
There's no word yet on who won.
A Powerball ticket sold at a supermarket in Zephyrhills, Fla., matched all six numbers selected Saturday night for the estimated $590.5 million prize. It's the highest Powerball jackpot in history.
The winning numbers were 10, 13, 14, 22 and 52, with a Powerball of 11.
