Metro Police people need to take it easy when they see school zone signs.....
School zones will be marked by flashing lights, cones and crossing guards.
Metro Police say if drivers see the flashing lights they need to go 15 miles per hour.
Metro Police will be on hand in certain school zones to assist crossing guards with traffic control .
Sgt. Bob Sheffield says, “Believe it or not a lot of times with the actual school crossing guards we have a lot of drivers that just refuse to obey- to try to get them to stop and we have had guards that have been hit knocked down and for some reason drivers just get extremely irate for having to slow down in a school zone.”
Metro police say drivers should also be on guard outside of school zones and look out for kids walking to school or waiting for the bus.

National exhibit on Civil War in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A national traveling exhibit on the Civil War will be on display at Nashville's Green Hills Library beginning on Monday.
The exhibit lets viewers experience the war through the eyes of politicians, soldiers, families and freed slaves. It includes letters, personal accounts and images that demonstrate how people grappled with the end of slavery, the nature of democracy and citizenship, the human toll of the war and the role of a president in wartime.
According to the library, the Gilder Lehrman Institute developed the exhibition to mark the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
