WBFF Fox 45 :: Nashville Public Library Hosts FREE Concert Series
For the next couple of months you can see a variety of music at the Downtown Nashville Public Library, for free!

It's a mid day break, Nashville style, called the Courtyard Concerts.

"Business
folks that come during lunch, moms, all ages enjoy it. Being music city
and having a library that has this type of music really adds to what we
have to offer" explains Renuka Chrisoph.

All ages were seen Tuesday dancing and singing along as The Wanna Beatles played for the crowd. In fact, the show put up record numbers. Organizers say 700 people showed up for the concert.

"We feel we are extending the legacy of  The Beatles keeping the music alive" says the Grammy nominated group.

Sitting front and center was 9 year old Gracie Bryan and her mom Amy.

"I am here because I love The Beatles. I like "Here Comes The Sun" and "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" explains Gracie.

"Music
appreciate and arts are important to the entire family so coming to see
this was a perfect field day" says Gracie's mom Amy.

If  The
Beatles aren't your musical style, don't worry, that is what makes this
series unique. No two weeks are alike, appealing to a wide variety of
people.

For a schedule of who is playing you can go to "FOX LINKS" at fox17.com. Concerts are every Tuesday until October 9th - at 11:45 a.m.

Miss. chooses new firm to run Woodville prison
May 18, 2013 20:50 GMT

WOODVILLE, Miss. (AP) -- Mississippi officials have picked a new company to run the Wilkinson County Correctional Facility.

Utah-based Management and Training Corp. announced Friday that the Mississippi Department of Corrections has chosen it to run the 1,000-bed prison starting July 1, the Natchez Democrat reports (http://bit.ly/10MvOGv).

Corrections Corporation of America, based in Nashville, Tenn., had run the prison since 1998. MTC says it will keep "the vast majority" of employees.

MTC will get a five-year contract to run the prison with two one-year options. Last year, officials chose MTC to take over East Mississippi Correctional Facility, the Walnut Grove Correctional Facility and the Marshall County Correctional Facility from the GEO Group. MTC won 10-year contracts for each.

CCA still runs the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility and the Adams County Correctional Center in Mississippi.
