According to police, Jason Bennett, 20, was stabbed with a knife described as a “Bowie Knife” at a residence on the 3400 block of Pembroke Rd. Friends were gathered at the residence for a dinner together, according to witnesses when during the course of the evening.
Jonathan Hargadine, 49, and Bennett engaged in a friendly wrestling match in which Hargadine lost. After the match, Hargadine went to his office, retrieved the knife and stabbed Bennett in the right side of his chest.
Bennett and his girlfriend drove to the Kangaroo Express, and waited for Police and EMS. Police took Hargadine into custody at his residence, where he was found sleeping on a couch.
Bennett was transported to Vanderbilt by Lifeflight, treated, and released.
Hargadine is booked into Montgomery County Jail and charged with attempted criminal homicide. He is being held on $250,000 bond.

Bonnaroo and then what? More events could follow

MANCHESTER, Tenn. (AP) -- The former farm where the Bonnaroo music festival is held may play host to other events as well.
The partnership that puts on the annual music and arts festival in Manchester has steadily upgraded the site, adding a dozen water wells and permanent electrical power.
Festival partner Rick Farman told The Tennessean (http://tnne.ws/14nuEF5 ) his group is in active discussion with a lot of groups. The Great American Mud Run will be held at the site on July 27 and is expected to draw more than 5,000 participants.
Coffee County Mayor David Pennington said he's curious to see where such a plan could go, saying it could have a huge impact.
This year's Bonnaroo will be held June 13-16. Paul McCartney heads a long list if acts.
