Two people have been arrested after two people were shot in south Nashville on Wednesday evening.
Metro Police say that Eric Kendrick, 25, and Lashonda Kendrick were involved in an argument with Michael Kendrick in front of the apartments on University Court. Lashonda produced a weapon and started firing. Eric then produced a weapon and started to fire. Michael said that Eric chased him and it was then that he was shot in the thigh.
The second victim, Kenyatta Wilson, was taking her trash outside when she was struck by a bullet also in the thigh.
A 9mm was recovered from Eric. A 32 caliber handgun was recovered from Lashonda's residence.
Both suspects are being held in the Davidson County Jail on $110,000 bond for aggravated assault.

2 appellate court judges are stepping down

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Two Tennessee appellate court judges have notified Gov. Bill Haslam that they will not run for another term on the bench in the August 2014 retention election.
Patricia J. Cottrell, a judge on the Court of Appeals, and Joseph M. Tipton, who sits on the Court of Criminal Appeals bench, will both leave after September of next year.
The announcements come after the state legislature left Tennessee without a way to replace judges who step down or die when a commission expires at the end of next month.
Members of the soon-to-be-defunct Judicial Nominating Commission will make recommendations for replacements to give to Haslam before the panel expires. Haslam will appoint the replacements from those recommendations.
