A woman was killed and two of her friends were injured in a single-vehicle accident in North Nashville this morning.
It happened on Whites Creek Pike at Nocturne Drive at 12:30 a.m. Requisha Jones, 23, was in the front passenger seat when the driver Candice Sanders, 23, lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole on the car’s passenger side. Jones was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.
Sanders and a passenger in the back seat were transported to Skyline Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
No charges have been filed. Test will be done to see if drugs and alcohol were involved. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
A memorial fund for Requisha Jones has been set up at all First Tennessee Bank locations to help pay for her funeral expenses.

Couple's bodies found in their Blount County home

LOUISVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Blount (blunt) County sheriff's office says preliminary results of autopsies on the bodies of a couple found dead in their home in Louisville (LEW'-ihs-vil) show their deaths are consistent with murder-suicide.
Marian O'Briant said in an email that it appears 54-year-old Steven Adkins shot 53-year-old Rebecca Adkins, then shot himself.
O'Briant said a family member found the bodies Sunday night. It wasn't clear how long they had been dead.
