recent release "Live Across America".
"It gives fans a glimpse into what
our everyday life is like" says Turner.
Turner's schedule was
too hectic to record another studio album, so he decided to take a camera on the
road and record every single show.
Four months and twenty hours of
material, cut down to the very best.
"We made notes along way, flagged
different shows" he says.
On the album you will find twelve
favorites. Songs like "Long Black Train" and "All Over Me".
"When fans
get to listen that is he best representation of what we get to do live" says
Turner
This is the second time Turner has released a live album
under the Cracker Barrel name.
"Their company motto is pleasing people
and that is what I try to do in my line of work" says Turner.
In
2007 he released an album full of songs he sang live during his Nashville Ryman
show.
A much different process because with that album he only had
one take!
"The biggest drawback from that was it was one night and if you
are off or something happened you have to go in and doctor" he says.
To coincide with this most recent release, Cracker Barrel is
giving fans a chance to meet the country star.
One lucky winner will
get to go backstage at Turner's next Opry appearance!
"It's always great
to mingle and meet with fans and hear stories and how my music has effected
them" Turner says.
Josh says the dual release has been a
blessing, but exhausting, so he probably won't be doubling up again anytime
soon!
"Never again are we releasing 2 albums in course of 2 months it's
gonna kill me" Josh laughs.
His album is available at Cracker Barrel
now. To register to win that Josh Turner meet and greet just visit

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- Washington County authorities say a man faked a marriage certificate so he could visit a woman held in the Johnson City Detention Facility.
The Johnson City Press (http://bit.ly/14QBr9L ) reports investigators discovered the ruse after the May 14 visit by 32-year-old Robert S. Hicks of Elizabethton. Hicks was arrested Tuesday on a charge of criminal simulation. He was jailed at the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of $10,000 bond, pending a court appearance Wednesday.
