WBFF Fox 45 :: Metro Council Members Say They Won't Hold Up Funding for Electronic Poll Books
After meeting with the Election Commission, the Metro council members say they won't hold up funding for electronic poll books.
Questions about the technology surfaced after some Democratic voters recieved Republican ballots in the August primary.
The problem was traced to a default setting in the machines.
On Monday, the manufacturer and election commissioners met with council members to discuss what went wrong. Council members say they have no choice but to pay for the books which are already on hand.
The full Metro council will vote on the funding resolution tomorrow night. The council is paying for 140 electronic poll books in two payments of $400,000.Metro Council Members Say They Won't Hold Up Funding for Electronic Poll Books

May 25, 2013 20:14 GMT

SMYRNA, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say a body has been found in Percy Priest Lake in Middle Tennessee.

WSMV-TV (http://bit.ly/16gYKys) reports officials with Metro Police, the Office of Emergency Management and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency were at the scene Saturday at Hole In The Wall Island. The body was reported to authorities about 11 a.m.

TWRA officials say they believe the deceased man is a boater who disappeared in the lake two weeks ago.

Police said the agencies coordinated with each other to get a boat in the water and recover the body.
