WBFF Fox 45 :: Family and Friends Remember Child Killed in Accident - John Dunn
September 23, 2012

Family and friends gather to memorialize London Henn.  The 21 month old girl was accidently run over my her father.

The pictures tell a life's story. 21 months of joy, laughter, and memories. London Henn's smile was irresistible.

"She just a had a (personality) she could light up a room, she never knew a stranger," says father Brad Henn.

The memorial service at Oasis Church shows the outpouring of love for the Henn family.

It's hard to imagine their grief.

A week and a half ago in Old Hickory, London Henn freed herself from her car seat.. She fell out of her father's truck, and he accidently ran over her.

Brad Henn keeps asking himself why.

"What happens, happened and I can't change that.  No amount of tears, no amount of anything can replace her or bring her back," says Brad Henn.

London Henn was the youngest of three children.

Her parents captured her short life with cell phone video and thousands of pictures.

"She was my heart and soul, she was my wife's heart and soul," says Henn.

Somehow Brad Henn found the strength to sing during Sunday's service. The lyrics echo his own thoughts as he searches for answers.

"Tying to find purpose, you know God never allows a tragedy to happen without purpose, and that's kind of where I am right now," says Henn.

It's difficult to witness a funeral for a child so young, but the Henn's say a strong church community and caring neighbors are helping them cope.

They rest in the belief that heaven is a better place, now that sweet little London has joined the angels.

"Love your kids, spend every moment you can with your kids.  Life is fragile," says Brad Henn.

Brad Henn says his mind keeps replaying what happened, but he says he's trying to be strong for his other two children, one of whom witnessed the accident.

Houston brother will be his own attorney in court
June 18, 2013 13:02 GMT

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Roane County man will face federal gun violation charges next month without an attorney.

The Knoxville News Sentinel (http://bit.ly/17VlXpM ) reported Rocky Joe Houston will represent himself on a charge of possession of a gun by a felon.

The charge came after Houston earlier represented himself in state court on charges stemming from a police chase. He was convicted of evading arrest and reckless endangerment.

Houston and his brother, Leon Houston, were tried, but not convicted, in the 2006 shooting deaths of a Roane County deputy and his ride-along companion.

In federal court, Rocky Joe Houston is claiming the officer who charged him with the felony had no legal authority.
