WBFF Fox 45 :: Clarksville Teens Carry Out Plot to Rob Friend at Gunpoint
A couple Clarksville teens are in jail tonight after robbing their friend at gun point. Clarksville Police say Marques Townsend drove an 18-year-old victim to the parking lot of a business along the 1600 block of Fort Campbell Boulevard early this morning. That is when another man dressed in a black jacket wearing a bandana approached the two. The suspected robber held his gun to victims head and demanded his money and cell phone. He then turned the gun to Townsend and demanded his cell phone. The suspected robber then took off with $600 in cash and the two cell phones.

Clarksville Police arrived on scene and took statements from the two individuals. The victim described the getaway car as dark colored SUV with plastic covering one of the windows.

While on patrol officers Justin Steward and William Gilboy spotted a vehicle matching the victim’s description in a parking lot on North Second Street. The Clarksville Police officers found Willie Cole and a friend, who is not believed to have been involved with the robbery, inside the vehicle. Police say they found guns, gloves, a bandana, cell phones, and cash inside.

It was determined through their investigation Cole and Townsend are cousins and planned robbery. Officials say the victim had recently celebrated a birthday and was possession of more than $600 at the time of the robbery.

Both Cole and Townsend face Aggravated Robbery charges and are being held in the Montgomery County Jail. The victim was returned his money and cell phone.Clarksville Teens Carry Out Plot to Rob Friend at Gunpoint

Miss. chooses new firm to run Woodville prison
May 18, 2013 20:50 GMT

WOODVILLE, Miss. (AP) -- Mississippi officials have picked a new company to run the Wilkinson County Correctional Facility.

Utah-based Management and Training Corp. announced Friday that the Mississippi Department of Corrections has chosen it to run the 1,000-bed prison starting July 1, the Natchez Democrat reports (http://bit.ly/10MvOGv).

Corrections Corporation of America, based in Nashville, Tenn., had run the prison since 1998. MTC says it will keep "the vast majority" of employees.

MTC will get a five-year contract to run the prison with two one-year options. Last year, officials chose MTC to take over East Mississippi Correctional Facility, the Walnut Grove Correctional Facility and the Marshall County Correctional Facility from the GEO Group. MTC won 10-year contracts for each.

CCA still runs the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility and the Adams County Correctional Center in Mississippi.
