What would you do if you an armed man approached you at ATM? Metro Police say Erika did exactly what she should have done. Rule number one when confronted by an armed robber, do not be a hero, compile with their demands. But more importantly focus on the details. You can help police by focusing on what the attacker looks like or what they may have been driving. When at an ATM police say you should always leave space between you and any other cars.
"Don't get so close to that vehicle that you can't get away if you need to. Don't get yourself in a position where you could get blocked in -- in case the motive of the person in front of you is to rob you," said Lt. Douglas Bell.
Lieutenant Bell also said ATM robberies are rare in this area but it is always a good idea to be aware of your surroundings. If you ever suspect anything suspicious go to another location and call police.

Former Dyer County constable sentenced to prison

DYERSBURG, Tenn. (AP) -- Former Dyer County Constable Derick Shane Hundley has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison.
The State Gazette (http://bit.ly/14UHydd ) reported Hundley was sentenced Monday after earlier entering a guilty plea to enticement of a minor through electronic means. The government dropped a child pornography count.
Prosecutors said Hundley, who is 30, used a cellphone to try to entice a minor female to have sex with him. Police arrested Hundley last July and found an external hard drive that contained numerous images of minors involved in sex. He resigned from the constable post he had won in 2010 after his arrest.
