WBFF Fox 45 :: 23-year-old Arrested for Drag Racing on Interstate at Speeds of 120 MPH
A man was arrested this morning for drag racing at speeds of over 100 mph.
Bryan Thompson, 23, was clocked by police going 120 mph in his Mustang on I-40 W. early Christmas morning, according to police reports, going twice the legal limit. Thompson then ran a red light after being unable to stop at the end of the exit ramp from I-24 to Shelby St. when the officer flashed his lights.
After police pulled him over at the 300 block of 4th Street, they asked Thompson how fast he was going, he replied, " No more than a 4500 lb. bullet waiting to kill someone."
Thompson attempted to conceal his identity by providing police with false identification. A search revealed he has a suspended license.
A small amount of marijuana, and a cup with rum were found by police inside the car.
Thompson, who told police that he was just trying to have fun, is being held on $28,500 bond in the Davidson County Jail.23-year-old Arrested for Drag Racing on Interstate at Speeds of 120 MPH

Former Dyer County constable sentenced to prison
May 23, 2013 12:50 GMT

DYERSBURG, Tenn. (AP) -- Former Dyer County Constable Derick Shane Hundley has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison.

The State Gazette (http://bit.ly/14UHydd ) reported Hundley was sentenced Monday after earlier entering a guilty plea to enticement of a minor through electronic means. The government dropped a child pornography count.

Prosecutors said Hundley, who is 30, used a cellphone to try to entice a minor female to have sex with him. Police arrested Hundley last July and found an external hard drive that contained numerous images of minors involved in sex. He resigned from the constable post he had won in 2010 after his arrest.
