WBFF Fox 45 :: Bounty Hunter Pistol Whipped in Madison Home Invasion
A bounty hunter is the injured victim in a home invasion that occurred in Madison on Thursday morning.
Frank Cross talks to FOX 17's Meagan O' Halloran exclusively this morning.
Three armed suspects kicked in the back door of a home on the 400 block of Maple Street at around 12:30 a.m., according to Metro police.
Cross says the suspects pulled his girlfriend from the shower and put a gun to her head. There were also kids home sleeping at the time. They were all uninjured.
The suspects pistol whipped Cross who suffered a laceration to the head. He was transported to Skyline Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. He said he is suffering from a concussion and had to get staples.
The suspects have not been caught. They got away with an undisclosed amount of money and prescription medicine from safes in the house. Cross says he believes this was an inside job and unrelated to his job.

State officials to hold seat belt campaign event
May 24, 2013 08:11 GMT

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (AP) -- The Governor's Highway Safety Office plans to announce its "Click It or Ticket" campaign on Friday.

The event is scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. at the Robertson County Courthouse in Springfield.

Nationally, statistics show seat belt use increased significantly in 2012 as compared to 2011 among drivers, right-front passengers and backseat occupants.

However, officials say more than 400 of Tennessee's crash fatalities last year involved unrestrained drivers or passengers.

The Governor's Highway Safety Office urges all motorists to buckle up.
