Metro Police say an argument between a man and his
girlfriends family lead to fatal gunfire.
Investigators say the shooting happened around 5:30 Sunday
evening on 49th Avenue.
Police claim that David Duncan and family members of his
girlfriend Christina Sanders were having an argument. Duncan pulled out a
shotgun and fired multiple times.
Those shots hit his girlfriend brother 23 year old Travis
Massey. He died on the scene. Another bullet hit Sanders mother 55-year old Vicki
Brown. She's in critical condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Duncan is in police custody on $50,000 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. A decision on criminal charges will be made as the investigation continues.

Body found in Percy Priest Lake

SMYRNA, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say a body has been found in Percy Priest Lake in Middle Tennessee.
WSMV-TV (http://bit.ly/16gYKys) reports officials with Metro Police, the Office of Emergency Management and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency were at the scene Saturday at Hole In The Wall Island. The body was reported to authorities about 11 a.m.
TWRA officials say they believe the deceased man is a boater who disappeared in the lake two weeks ago.
Police said the agencies coordinated with each other to get a boat in the water and recover the body.
