Tornadic weather strikes the Mid-South. Just north of Paducah, KY this afternoon a strong storm prompted several tornado warnings and the damage reports continue to pile in. This picture is from from a potential tornado along Carrsville Road in Hampton, KY. Our area does not have a threat for tornadoes, although flooding is possible tomorrow as heavy rain moves in. As much as 2-3 inches will fall in the Nashville area with locally heavier amounts possible. With the ground saturated from recent rains, it won't take much for creeks and streams to flood. Turn around don't, drown.

Man charged with faking marriage to visit inmate

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- Washington County authorities say a man faked a marriage certificate so he could visit a woman held in the Johnson City Detention Facility.
The Johnson City Press (http://bit.ly/14QBr9L ) reports investigators discovered the ruse after the May 14 visit by 32-year-old Robert S. Hicks of Elizabethton. Hicks was arrested Tuesday on a charge of criminal simulation. He was jailed at the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of $10,000 bond, pending a court appearance Wednesday.
