FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The city of Franklin is discussing an ordinance that would ban sales of the Contributor homeless newspaper. A public hearing is being held at 7pm tonight at Franklin City Hall. The ordinance is to ban sale of goods in the public right-of-way, which would stop the sale of the newspaper. Officials with the Contributor say it's generated $7 million over 3 years from the homeless. The newspaper and the ACLU sued Brentwood for a similar ordinance. They lost and are appealing in federal court. FOX17's Erika Lathon is there at the meeting and we will bring you updates as they come, and TONIGHT on FOX17 NEWS.

NHK Seating expanding Murfreesboro facility

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- State officials say that automotive seat manufacturer NHK Seating of America Inc. plans to expand its facility in Murfreesboro, adding 94 jobs in the process.
Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty said Thursday that the company's expansion represents a $6.8 million investment in Rutherford County.
Fred Myers, plant manager of NHK's Murfreesboro facility, says the company is adding employees and capital equipment to support increasing production volume.
NHK also plans to add a robotic weld cell that will use robots to make automotive seat structures at the facility.
NHK completed its Murfreesboro plant in 2011. Currently, 81 people are employed there.
