NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A brand new traveling Broadway musical based on a true story makes its way to Music City. "Catch Me if You Can" is now playing at TPAC. We talked with a local woman involved in the show who explains that, despite the serious subject matter, the musical is very light hearted! Adapted to fit the stage, the real life story of a famous con artist comes to life in song. The musical is based on the DreamWorks film featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks, but has a very energetic spin. "Catch Me if You Can" has been nominated for 4 Tony Awards and 6 Drama Desk Awards, award-winning elements that will also be seen during this traveling show. Another unique element: the musical features a live 12-piece band playing on stage. Ashley Chasteen just moved to Music City to pursue a career in country music. As dance captain, she makes sure every move is timed out perfectly. She also is there for numerous cast members in the case of an emergency. Come experience how music tells the story of a man on the run now through Sunday at TPAC. For ticket information, just click on FOX LINKS.What You'll Find in "Catch Me if You Can"

Updated conservatorship statute effective July 1
May 21, 2013 12:49 GMT

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Gov. Bill Haslam has signed into law revisions to the state conservatorship statute.

The law allows the court to appoint a conservator to manage the assets of a person a judge finds unable to handle his or her own affairs.

State Rep. Andrew Farmer, a Sevierville Republican, told The Tennessean (http://tnne.ws/1183hjy ) the intent of the bill he sponsored in the House is to make sure people aren't being taken advantage of.

The bill sprang from a series of hearings statewide by the Tennessee Bar Association. They revealed there were no uniform procedures for placing a person's assets under a conservator on an emergency basis.

The changes take effect July 1.
