The Maryland Farms YMCA and the Brentwood Family YMCA were both illuminated red overnight.
"The Y is committed to improving our community's health and we recognize that heart health is an important aspect of overall well-being," said Elizabeth Michels, Brand Engagement Coordinator for the YMCA of Middle Tennessee. "That's why we support men, women and children in their efforts to prevent and reverse heart disease."
All 23 YMCA's in Middle Tennessee are displaying fliers about heart health and handing out red heart-shaped stickers to members all month saying, "I'm committed to heart health." The February visitor total for all 23 Y's is expected to be more than 500,000.
