WBFF Fox 45 :: Local Uses Song Lyrics as Pick Up Lines
NASHVILLE, Tenn - - "Hey, I talked to your dad. He said pick out a white dress. It's a love story. Just say yes." says Tommy Wooldridge  in his YouTube video Lyric Lines.

If that line sounds familiar, it should. It's lyrics from a popular taylor swift song. "Because I am so awkward I come across as a drunk, high homeless person. That's part of the confusion," laughs Tommy Wooldridge.

Wooldridge is using a new approach to try and get a date in  music city. He calls it lyric lines. So far he's used lyrics from Taylor Swift, Blink 182, One Direction, Justin Bieber and even Kesha. He's gotten close, but what is overall the response? "I get a lot of rejections. Just straight up no and walk away. I haven't been slapped yet but have a feeling it will happen eventually," he says.

Using the lines of some of your favorite songs is more than a hobby for Wooldrige, it's actually his job. "Jeremy from Vevo saw the videos and contacted me and said we want you to do these for vevo every week."

It all started with a contest by his favorite band. "Bink 182 had a contest last summer and you could do whatever you wanted just make a video about the band." says Wooldridge.

Now less than a year later, the 23 year old is a YoutTube sensation. "Each video is getting close to one million views. I have two that have over 1 million" he says.

Reason enough to keep the rejection coming, "As long as people think they are funny and like them I wanna keep making them" he says.

Tenn. Powerball ticket worth $1 million
May 19, 2013 18:44 GMT

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Powerball ticket sold in Tennessee barely missed winning a share of an estimated $590.5 million prize. But the ticket has a nice consolation prize worth $1 million.

Officials say the Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in Chattanooga.

There's no word yet on who won.

A Powerball ticket sold at a supermarket in Zephyrhills, Fla., matched all six numbers selected Saturday night for the estimated $590.5 million prize. It's the highest Powerball jackpot in history.

The winning numbers were 10, 13, 14, 22 and 52, with a Powerball of 11.
