WBFF Fox 45 :: Police Suspect Serial Robber in Popular Nashville Donut Shop Hold-up
Shipley's Do-Nuts on Lebanon Pike was robbed Tuesday.
Metro Police say that the suspect that held up the popular donut shop at 6 a.m. is possibly the same person who has robbed a slew of businesses in March.
Detectives are working to identify the gunman who attempted to rob the Mapco at 4677 Trousdale Drive before attempting to hold-up the Krispy Kreme at 408 Thompson Lane in south Nashville.
The same person is also suspected early morning robberies on Sunday, March 17, at 7:30 a.m.; Phillips 66 at 801 Briley Parkway, on Sunday, March 17, at 9:40 a.m., and Wednesday, March 13, at 2:15 a.m. at Circle K at 2200 Nolensville Pike. He is also wanted for an attempted robbery at Discount Tobacco at 2181 Nolensville Pike.
The gunman is described as a black man who is approximately 5’10” to six feet tall and who weighs approximately 190 pounds.  In all five robberies, he has worn a white cloth to cover his face and a black ball cap with a white design on front.  In Monday morning’s Krispy Kreme attempted robbery, he may have fled in a dark green four door sedan, possibly a Grand Am, with tinted windows.
Anyone recognizing the suspect or who has information concerning these robberies is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

Tenn. Powerball ticket worth $1 million
May 19, 2013 18:44 GMT

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Powerball ticket sold in Tennessee barely missed winning a share of an estimated $590.5 million prize. But the ticket has a nice consolation prize worth $1 million.

Officials say the Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in Chattanooga.

There's no word yet on who won.

A Powerball ticket sold at a supermarket in Zephyrhills, Fla., matched all six numbers selected Saturday night for the estimated $590.5 million prize. It's the highest Powerball jackpot in history.

The winning numbers were 10, 13, 14, 22 and 52, with a Powerball of 11.
