WBFF Fox 45 :: VOTE 2012: Your Election Headquarters Part 4
FOX NEWS has already declared Mitt Romney the winner in Tennessee. 11 electoral votes are up for grabs here. Voters at one location say they were turned away even though their documents said they were in the right place. A number of voters at the Watkins Community Center in West Nashville found out their names weren't on the list, even though their blue registration cards listed the community center as their voting location. Independent Watchdog Group Tennessee Citizen Action estimates the problem affected hundreds of voters at this location. Many had to stand in line for close to 45 minutes before being told which location they needed to go to. Some, like 92 year old James Wallace, Sr. say the confusion cost them their vote.

"I'm through with it now," says Wallace. "I'm going to get some information and I'm going to get with a lawyer and get some information to see how come I got moved from 14th Avenue to voting over here to Kayne Avenue. That's over in South Nashville, that's over on South Street."

The Election Official in charge at that community center says a location change was made in August and those voters should have received a notice in the mail. However, none of the voters who spoke to FOX17 said they ever received that notice. Right now FOX NEWS says it's a dead heat, with Mitt Romney winning 154 electoral votes and Barack Obama with 153. Man charged with faking marriage to visit inmate
May 22, 2013 13:32 GMT

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- Washington County authorities say a man faked a marriage certificate so he could visit a woman held in the Johnson City Detention Facility.

The Johnson City Press (http://bit.ly/14QBr9L ) reports investigators discovered the ruse after the May 14 visit by 32-year-old Robert S. Hicks of Elizabethton. Hicks was arrested Tuesday on a charge of criminal simulation. He was jailed at the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of $10,000 bond, pending a court appearance Wednesday.
