WBFF Fox 45 :: Winter Weather Possible Thursday Night, Friday
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - We are watching series of low pressure systems to move through our area giving us a shot for more wintry weather. The first low moves north of overnight tonight bring a dry cold front through our area. Temperatures will plummet once more heading into tomorrow as highs struggle to get into the mid 30s. This sets the stage for another low to form west of us. This will have moisture with it that will overrun the cold air we will have in place. This setup of warmer air in the upper parts of the atmosphere and cold air at the surface means sleet and freezing rain for us. Right now it looks like most everyone could see sleet and freezing rain overnight Thursday into Friday morning before it turns over to a cold rain. Light ice accumulations along with isolated slick spots and bridges and overpasses will be possible for your Friday commute to work. Areas along the Plateau will stay below freezing through much of the day Friday so we expect more significant ice. The weekend looks dry and cool with highs in the 40s.

TONIGHT:  A few passing clouds. Lows will fall into the mid 20s.
THURSDAY:  A few passing clouds and cold. Highs will only be in the low 30s.
FRIDAY:  Sleet and freezing rain before 11am, changing to a cold rain . Light accumulations of ice in the Nashville area, significant ice possible along the Plateau. High 39.Winter Weather Possible Thursday Night, Friday
