American Idol
He came to America's attention during Season 5 of American Idol, and since then Bucky Covington has been a Nashville staple. His debut album hit #1 and spawned 3 Top 10 singles. Just when things were going great, his record label, Lyric Street, closed its doors. Now Bucky is with a new label, has a new song, and is ready to hit the road touring. He says the past year has been a learning experience. He also says staying true to yourself is one of the keys to surviving on a show like American Idol.
"They may be looking for this or that, and if they ask what kind of music do you want to sing 'I don't care just put me on tv'," says Covington. "Be yourself. They will choose you or they won't."
His new song "I Wanna be that Feeling" is available for download on iTundes. His new album is due out this summer.
