38 gold tickets were given out in Pittsburgh - including one for Travis Orlando.
He auditioned last year and didn't make it. This time around the judges saw a spark in him. He may have some extra drive because of all he's been through the past year. The 17 year old  dropped out of high school and is living in a shelter with his dad and twin brother, this after his mom walked out on them shortly after Idol last year. Travis says he wants to show his mom that he isn't a failure. He'll have his chance because he got a golden ticket to Hollywood!
Also going to Hollywood is Hallie Day. She hasn't had the easiest road to her Idol audition either.The 24 year old, also a high school drop out, hit rock bottom and attempted suicide several years back. Now years later she sang "I Will Survive" for the judges.
Steven couldn't get enough asking her to sing again and J Lo said that "She could win".
There was also a really unique audition during the one hour show.
26 year old Reed Grimm sang the "Family Matters" theme song and the judges loved it! Sending him on to Hollywood as well! Season 11: Pittsburgh Auditions
